A recent wear your Christmas jumper to work and school campaign by the local branch of ‘Save the Children’ has raised over £1,000 for the charity.
Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, the town clerk, Andrew Davies, told members that the a congratulatory certificate had been sent to the town from the organisers, thanking Tenby for it’s efforts in raising the money.
“Schools in Tenby raised in excess of £1,000 and a further £211.17 was raised by businesses in the town who took part in the campaign in the lead up to Christmas,” he explained.
