Once again this year Narberth RNLI held a very successful quiz evening which raised a magnificent total of £810 for the charity.
The event was held at Narberth Rugby Club on Friday, February 22, with many thanks going to quizmaster Mr. Bill Carne who presented the evening with much humour and laughter, and also to Mrs.
Marilyn Carne for all her hard work in keeping the scores throughout the evening.
Thanks also go to Sheena and staff for their help in setting out the room and producing a delicious bowl of cawl.
The RNLI committee would also like to thank all those local businesses who donated raffle prizes and made donations towards the evening including Welsh cakes from Tan-y-Castell.
“For the last three months we would also like to thank Rhys Hodgkinson who as part of his Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme has been helping Narberth RNLI with fundraising events,” said committee chairperson Julie Mathias.
“Rhys has enjoyed helping the charity so much that he has decided to join our committee. He is probably one of the youngest committee members in the UK and we all wish him well with achieving his Gold Award,” she added.
