Serendipity Ladies’ Choir from Narberth will be showcasing six decades of talent when it stages its Christmas concert in December.

The youngest member of the choir is just 28 – and the oldest is 88.

Both Catrin Morris from Llandissilio and Val Phillips from Whitland have been singing with the choir for the past four years.

“I had never been in a choir before but I absolutely love it,” said retired nurse Val.

“It’s the companionship and getting to meet different people which I enjoy the most.”

Catrin, who is a Learning Support Assistant, said: “I joined the choir because I love to sing, I’ve been in school choirs before but this is definitely better.

“I enjoy being able to make people happy doing something I love.”

They are just two of nearly 40 members of the choir who have been hard at work rehearsing for their annual Christmas concert which takes place in the Regency Hall on Wednesday, December 18 at 7.30 pm.

Irene Williams, choir secretary said: “The choir is made up of ladies of all ages and all backgrounds and we get together on a Monday night at the Bloomfield Centre.

“We sing everything from carols and church music to Abba and pop hits. We are always looking for new members so please do get in touch with us if you’d like to join in.”

Tickets for the concert are £8 to include a glass of wine and a mince pie.
