Sir, What a joy it was to attend the Ysgol Greenhill School concert in St. Mary’s Church last week. Sitting in the town’s most imposing concert venue brought back fond memories of watching my own children play there, around the turn of the millennium.

I remember the current head of music, Mrs. Hughes, being part of the school’s orchestra and wind band and she is now back orchestrating a wonderful performance with this current generation of students.

It was great to see and hear the recent winners from the Pembrokeshire Schools competition who were inspiring the new intake.

Thanks go to Mr. Ray McGovern, all his hard working staff and the peripatetic music teachers for a wonderful concert on the run in to Christmas. Long may this tradition continue.
