Recently, children of Saundersfoot Playgroup and daycare headed out on their annual sponsored ‘toddle’, walking from their base at Saundersfoot CP School to Coppet Hall and back - which is a long way for little legs!
The two to four-year olds struck out, enjoying looking at the boats on the sea on their way down to the slipway and a good run along the beach towards Coppet Hall. They hunted for curiosities washed up and made a few sand castles.
Egging them on during their great adventure was the promise of an ice cream, which was generously handed out at no cost courtesy of Dan Edison at the Mermaid gift shop. The efforts of the children raised an amazing £409.50 funds which will go directly to the essential resources and running costs of the Playgroup - a registered charity.
“We wish to say a huge thank you to all those that came with us in the day or sponsored the children on this toddle,” said a spokesperson for the Playgroup.
