Having qualified for a place in the Delancy UK Schools Chess Challenge, four children from Templeton School travelled to Cardiff on Saturday to take part in the megafinal XXVII.

They took part in several matches against opponents in their age groups and all did very well winning at least one of their games which amongst a field of 150 competitors was no mean feat.

Many thanks go to Mrs. Sarah Walters and family for all the help they have given and Mrs. Kathy Hicks, Mrs. Nicola Tinsley and Dr. Barry Walters for accompanying them on the day.
