A Premiership footballer and a top singer-songwriter, both of whom hail from Narberth, were guests of honour at the town council meeting on Tuesday evening.

The day after being selected for the Great Britain Olympics football team, Joe Allen, who plays for Swansea City, and Jodie Warlow, known as Jodie Marie, who recently had a sellout gig at the Queen's Hall when she showcased songs from her debut album, were present to receive town council plaques from the Mayor, Clr. Suzanne Radford-Smith.

"Narberth is very proud of you both and we would like to recognise your achievements by presenting you both with a plaque," said the Mayor, seen here with Joe and Jodie.
