Please don't give up! That was the plea from Mayor of Narberth, Clr. Mrs. Sue Rees, who is also chair of SwimNarberth, who have just successfully raised enough funds to save the town's facility from closing.

"It has been absolutely brilliant that we have taken over the pool," she said at Tuesday's monthly meeting of the town council.

"A lot of people have said that this wouldn't have happened any other place than Narberth.

"But we must not give up. We have purchased the boiler we needed and this will be installed before Christmas, but we must now raise the money for the PV panels needed and will have a big push again in the new year."
