A local councillor has asked for an update on developments at Tenby’s Brynhir site.
Members of Tenby town council have previously requested to be kept informed on any discussions between Pembrokeshire County Council and developers so that the best option could be achieved for the people of the town when it came to developing the land, but had voiced their concerns that they were being ‘kept in the dark’ despite correspondence from Barry Cooke, PCC’s head of property, who earlier this year explained to councillors that officers had recommended that the agents re-approach all of the parties who previously expressed interest in the site, after an identified developer had withdrawn their interest.
Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, Clr. Mrs. Tish Rossiter told her colleagues that the grass on the land at Brynhir has grown ‘exceptionally high’ for this time of year leading her to wonder if the tenant policing the land had given up their rights.
“It makes me feel uneasy and wonder if plans are afoot that we don’t know about,” she said, asking if the town clerk could make enquiries on the matter.
