Only a day after the refinery incident, came more devastating news for the county - that of the horrific murder of a Narberth woman.

The body of Angelika Dries-Jenkins was found at her home in the Providence Hill area two days before her 67th birthday.

A large scale investigation was launched and as we went to press yesterday (Thursday), a 54-year-old local man was being held in custody on suspicion of the murder.
