Get to know the South Pembrokeshire Coastline this Pembrokeshire Fish Week Festival, Saturday, June 25 - Sunday, July 3.

Kick-start your week of fishy fun at the opening weekend with Milford Fish Festival. Join in the chowder trail, watch the cookery demonstrations, sample the stalls, take part in the children’s cookery, pavement painting, listen to the live music, visit the fish market, explore the Irene tall ship, plus so much more. Taking place on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th.

Dine with some of the most spectacular coastal views at the Waves cliff top restaurant near Tenby; enjoy Seafood with a Sea view, Mediterranean style fish/seafood and live music at Caffe Vista, Tenby; or if you fancy your fish just a few meters from the sea, then the Pembrokeshire Fish Night with the award-winning chef Will Holland at Coast Restaurant, Saundersfoot, is the place to be.

The ever-popular annual fish BBQ at the Grove, of Narberth, will provide you with plentiful fishy delights, Enjoy some delicious fish dishes at The Harbourmaster, Milford Haven with their Seafood Spectacular or Curry Night; or head straight to Little Haven for Fish Tapas or Lobster night at The Swan Inn. For an evening right by the sea, head to the Gourmet Seafood and Wine Tasting evening at the Griffin Inn, Dale.

With so many fish specials available throughout the week, it could be difficult to know where to start. There’s special menus at the Baytree Restaurant, Tenby; numerous fish specials at Penally Abbey; Fish Week specials at Quayside Tearooms, Lawrenny; a specially created BBQ fish menu for Fish Week at West Coast Arts, Tenby; a selection of daily fish specials at Sea Salt, Tenby; delicious six fish specials board at the Boars Head, Templeton; or head to Trefloyne Manor near Tenby for some naked fish specials.

Why not head to the Broad Haven YHA for their fish supper club or tuck into the fresh fish specials at the Lord Nelson Hotel, Milford Haven? Heading into Pembroke? then call at Food at Williams for their fish and seafood specials, or delight with a pint of prawns at Pembroke Castle Cafe.

For a more informative meal, enjoy a fish filleting and preparation demonstration followed by a fish supper and glass of wine with head chef Paul Barnes at Penally Abbey, Penally. Or for a lunchtime feast, head chef Toby Goodwin will guide you through a fish tasting lunch, including a beautiful tasting platter of seasonal shellfish at The Cliff, St. Brides Spa Hotel, Saundersfoot. Ever wondered how a village pub became the best seafood establishment in Wales? Then the intimate evening with Simon from The Griffin Inn and award-winning fishmonger Nick is definitely the place to be.

The beautiful setting of Freshwater West lends itself perfectly to a fabulous selection of fishy events with Cafe Mor. If you fancy some seashore goodness, then exploring the delights of the sea at the Seashore Forage and Feast, following in the footsteps of TV chef James Martin is for you; or if you’ve ever wanted to learn how to hot smoke your fish, the class for beginners is the perfect starting point. What could be better than eating the freshest of fish and shellfish from the finest seas in the land? Then head to the seafood BBQ; Enjoy the finest Pembrokeshire lobster in many mouth watering ways at the the lobster fest; or dress and dine in style for the black tie and silver service fine dine event, sampling the award winning innovative seafood at the pop up beach side restaurant.

For the outdoor lovers, there are plenty of options to choose from. Why not walk the jewel in the south of the National Park, exploring the secret coves and majestic coastal scenery along the Castlemartin Range with Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority. Take part in a guided snorkelling tour and tuition at St. Brides Bay or for an adrenelin rush, book yourself onto the adventure power boat ride and wildlife spotting with West Wales Dive Company and Aqua Sports; be adventurous and go coasteering with Celtic Quest Coasteering or combine a river trip on the Cleddau with some locally sourced fish specials at the Jolly Sailor, Burton.

Fancy some fishing? Ever fancied catching your own Pembrokeshire mackerel? Mackerel fishing for all the family with Tenby Fishing is the ideal opportunity to try out your fishing skills. Try fishing or enjoy an evening of outdoor fun with Pembrokeshire Federation of Angling Coaches at Llys y Fran Reservoir or try your hand at fly fishing for trout and coarse fishing at Puddleduck Trout Fishery.

Some local schools have a real treat in store with some Marine Activities and Fishy Art with the Darwin Centre, The Nature Foundation, Manor House Wildlife Park, Silent World 2 U and the VC Gallery, Tenby.

If you are looking for some family fun, then head straight to the Fishy Follies event at Folly Farm near Tenby, or take part in the family friendly fishy trail at Scolton Manor; join in the treasure trail with Milford Haven Business Circle and enjoy the fishy family fun at Oakwood Theme Park. Bring out the pirate in you at the Dale Pirate Day - dressing up essential!

For a keepsake of your week, create a Fish Week plate at the Creative Cafe, Haverfordwest. Don’t forget to call into the Waterfront Gallery, Milford Haven, for your cultural fix with their fantastic exhibition of the Milford Scottish Herring Girls.

Looking for the perfect finale to the week of fishy fun, then look no further. Saundersfoots’ Harbour Festival has everything you need for a fantastic family day out. With live music, magician, face painting, drop in fish craft, long boat rowing demonstrations, sand castle competition, charity fish BBQ, fish filleting demonstrations, local stalls, hot food and seine netting with the Darwin Centre, plus much more. All taking place on Sunday, July 3, from 11 am.
