Tenby Sailing Club was packed out on Friday for a quiz in support of the British Heart Foundation.
11 teams contested in the quiz, and after six rounds four teams were tied in second place with 42 points. The winners with 43 points in the end were ‘Kelly’s Heroes’.
There was a cash prize of £40 on offer for the winner and they very kindly donated the prize money back.
The raffle was drawn straight after with some brilliant prizes, with 1st prize won by Neil Duffy which were tickets for four people for a tour of the Principality Stadium.
Overall on the night an amazing £635 was raised.
I’d like thank everyone who came to support us and bought raffle tickets, and to all the businesses and kind people who donated raffle prizes,” said organiser of the event Dai Morgan.
“Thanks to Nathen Spiller and the sailing club for their hospitality, and Mel, Jamie, Dan, Julie and Tony for helping to organise and sell raffle tickets.
“This isnt the only event we will be doing to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation , next year on June 21, myself and 16 other cyclists will cycle from Harrogate in Yorkshire to Tenby within 36 hours - that’s non stop cycling,” he added.
