'Get Work Wise': We invite you to join us at the Whitland Memorial Hall on Tuesday, March 18 (10 am - 12.30 pm) where there will be presentations by various organisations who can provide you with information and guidance into the world of work, a range of stands from organisations like Workways, Careers Wales, Un Sir Gar, Jobcentre Plus, etc. etc. There will also be the opportunity to speak to local employers in relation to any job opportunities that they may have and access to debt and benefit information/advice. This free event, organised by the Rural Development Plan (RDP), which is designed to support the regeneration of rural areas and has been funded by the Welsh Government and European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, is open to all and not exclusive to residents of the Whitland/St. Clears area. Debt and Benefit Advice Surgery: A Carmarthenshire County Council debt and benefit advice officer will be in the Whitland Memorial Hall on Thursday, March 20, from 1 to 4 pm. Why not drop-in and find how the new benefits system will affect you? Are you getting what you are entitled to? Do you need help with money matters? You'll get 100 per cent free, impartial and confidential advice on how to manage debt, budgeting, benefit claims, getting back to work, volunteering, entitlement checks, etc. Surgeries will take place twice each month.
