Last Friday morning saw the delivery of the traditional Christmas tree to New Hedges Village Hall, and a magnificent one it is too.

“This year it has been donated by David and Jayne Nash and family of Well Park Caravan Park, and colourfully dressed by members of the community council,” said chairman Clr. Des Brace.

“Later that evening, Mrs. Jayne Nash was invited to switch-on the lights and everyone remarked on how beautiful the display was.

“Afterwards, everyone went into the hall for warm mince pies, tea, coffee and mulled wine, followed by a carol service conducted by Rev. Nigel Griffin, with Miss Jean Wiloliams at the piano.

“It was a most enjoyable evening and thanks must also go to Mrs.?Christine Butland and helpers in the kitchen,” added Clr. Brace.
