A new defibrillator is to be housed in Pembroke, meaning the town now has two at both ends of the main street.
Sally Luck, the owner of the Coach House, Jonathan Beharrell, street pastor and leading advocate for defibrillators in town centres, who with the town’s worthy team of street pastors carry out an excellent voluntary community service, and local resident Mel Phillips, all agreed that since the red BT telephone box has been utilised to house a defib at the bottom end of Pembroke’s Main Street, it would be a great idea to house another one at the top end of town.
“Jonathan needed easy access to one and Sally kindly offered to keep it in the Coach House hotel. The street pastors will have a key to gain entry into the hotel,” explained Mel, who decided to fund the defibrillator.
“The Coach House is open from 6 am until midnight anyway, so it was the ideal safe place to keep it,” she added.
