Members of the Narberth Haven British Heart Foundation Cymru branch are organising their annual coffee morning to raise funds for British Heart Foundation Cymru (BHF) to help beat heartbreak forever.

The event will be held at RAOB Club, Towns Moor, Narberth, on Saturday, February 16, from 10 am - 11.30 am. There will be a raffle, a cake stand and a tombola. Also there will be a demonstration on how to perform CPR (cardio pulmonary resuscitation).

Ralph Dunbar, chairman of the branch, said: “We always have such a good response to the annual coffee morning event and we would like to thank the people who come each year to support our event. It is very much appreciated.”

Jayne Lewis, fundraising manager South West Wales, said: “I would like to thank the branch for holding such a successful event each year and to thank everyone who comes along to support this wonderful event. Thank you all so much for your continued support.

“Each day in Wales, 25 people lose their lives to cardiovascular disease which can devastate those they leave behind. BHF Cymru is funding pioneering research, central to discovering vital treatments for people living with these conditions.

“Too many lives are lost in Wales each year, and we’re determined to do everything we can to protect more families from this devastation. Around 375,000 people across Wales this month are fighting a daily battle with heart and circulatory disease.

“Each year these devastating conditions claim the lives of more than 750 people per month in Wales alone and thanks to the members of the Narberth BHF branch in the area we’ll be able to fund even more research into these conditions.”
