Narberth's a safe environment to live - that was the message from police who met with town councillors earlier this week.

Prior to the start of Tuesday night's monthly meeting of the town council, Sergeant Geraint Lewis informed members that crime in Narberth had fallen by 13 per cent compared to this time last year.

He also said the detection rate was one of the healthiest, standing at 50.3 per cent.

"That is testament to the quality of officers in Narberth," said Sgt. Lewis.

"You are lucky to have very experienced officers working in Narberth."
