The mysterious ‘Cragen’ sea monster will be reaching Tenby on it’s ‘Year of the Sea’ tour tomorrow (Friday).
Cragen is Small World Theatre’s new mythological monster, which will appear along Wales’ epic coastline throughout the summer to help raise awareness of the impact of single use plastics.
The first sighting of the mythical Cragen was reported off the Ceredigion coast at Aberporth last weekend, where hundreds of people lined the beach and cliff tops as the monster emerged from the waves with an important clean seas message.
Visitors were impressed by her ingenuity and her size, as she returns unwanted plastic waste from the sea to the land.
Experts have predicted that ‘Cragen’ will land at Tenby’s North Beach on Friday, and will be seen from the town, harbour and beaches crossing the bay anytime from 6.30 pm!
The performance on the North Beach will take place at 7 pm, followed at 8 pm, by a Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority and Keep Wales Tidy led beach clean, where members of the public are encouraged to join the beach clean activity with Guto Harries PCNPA Ranger and Simon Preddy Keep Wales Tidy.
Cragen will also land at Stackpole Quay on Friday, August 3 at 8 pm, where she will be seen from the harbour coming around the headland from Freshwater East.
You can also the join National Trust Wales at The Boathouse Cafe where there’ll be a ‘pop-up BBQ’ serving delicious locally sourced food before and after the performance.
