Pembrokeshire’s own ‘marathon man’ David Phillips will once again be running in London in April for the Brain and Spine Foundation charity, to support people with neurological problems.
David, who divides his time with his family living in Penally and Warwickshire, has clocked up an amazing 500 marathons in the past 37 years, including every London Marathon since 2002, raising over £135,000 for his chosen charity.
With David, being awarded an MBE in the Queen’s New Year Honours List, he and his family will travel up to Buckingham Palace on April 23 to collect his award, and then travel back to London three days later for what will be his 501st full marathon.
Once again he will be running in London with a few others in his team from his running club in Coventry the Massey Ferguson Runners.
