A route between Tavernspite and Whitland was closed for three hours on Saturday afternoon, due to a large 10 tonne tree which fell on the road.
One female driver had a lucky escape, when the large tree fell across the B4328 road on Llwynbrain Hill shortly before 2.30 pm, with its branches smashing the windscreen of her vehicle and shattering the driver's side window.
Carmarthenshire County Council workmen were tasked with removing the tree from the scene.
