Pictured is Pembroke Dock student Adam Rowe who has received a fundraising boost to his efforts to sail around New Zealand helping injured servicemen and women.

Pembroke and Pembroke Dock Lions presented a cheque for £500 last week to Adam of Cross Park, who is raising funds for the Jubilee Sailing Trust.

The student is aiming to embark on a trip of a lifetime sailing around New Zealand on the tall ship The Tenacious helping injured services men and women, as well as others suffering disabilities.

With a target to raise £2,500 to take part in the event, Adam’s fundraising efforts have also included a gruelling Three Peaks Challenge, climbing up the three highest mountains in the UK.
