One of Tenby’s prime properties overlooking the sea featured in a national newspaper on the weekend.

Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of Tenby Town Council, Clr. Mrs. Tish Rossiter said it was nice to see a full-page spread on Lexden House which overlooks Castle Beach featured in the Mail On Sunday.

“It brought a lump to my throat, seeing that lovely photo of Lexden Terrace in our lovely town,” she told her colleagues.

The article explained how the five-bedroom grade II-listed house which is now on the market for £1.4million, was used to shoot scenes for the 2008 Dylan Thomas biopic The Edge Of Love, starring Matthew Rhys, Sienna Miller, Keira Knightley and Cillian Murphy.

The property’s owner Marion Hutton explained in the article how she received

£6,000 for two days filming, and how one of her bedrooms was meant to double up as Chelsea during the Blitz, and would have been ideal but for one thing – the squawking seagulls! The house has also been used in the filming of the 1998 TV mini-series Vanity Fair.
