Health campaigners in Tenby will be holding a meeting this month where they hope to receive an update on the proposed walk-in health service at the town’s Cottage Hospital.
Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, Clr. Mrs. Caroline Thomas, who is also secretary of the South East Pembrokeshire Community Health Network (SEPCHN), told her colleagues that a meeting would take place on Tuesday, January 17, at New Hedges Village Hall, at 2 pm.
“We’re hoping that Joe Teape, deputy chief executive at Hywel Dda University Health Board, will be attending to explain to us what’s happening with the invisible walk-in centre at Tenby hospital!” said Clr. Mrs. Thomas, who had recently stated that she had expected the service - a joint collaboration between the Health Board and Tenby GP Practice, to be up and running before the Christmas period, but that all had gone quiet on the proposals.
