The Harriet Davis Trust celebrated its 25th anniversary last week with a lunch at Waves restaurant in Celtic Haven.
Founder trustees, Kit and John Davis were guests of honour and they were joined by family, friends and many representatives of local organisations which have played such a big part in the success of the trust. Some of the disabled children who have stayed in the trust’s houses over the years were also able to attend the celebration and present Kit and John with some gifts.
Elizabeth Sleight, the trust’s fundraiser, said of Kit and John Davis: “It is such a fabulous thing that they have done, setting up four holiday houses for disabled children, and they have given such tireless dedication to running the trust for 25 years, they should be so proud of all that they have achieved. A huge number of disabled children and their families now have happy holiday memories of Pembrokeshire, and it is all because of them.”
With donations and a raffle, the lunch also raised a further £402 for the charity, which will go towards the trust’s refurbishment project of its Giltar View property in Tenby.
