Rain did not stop play at the annual open day held at Greenacres rescue centre in Talbenny.

Over 1,000 visitors were welcomed through the gates to take part in the fun day.

Attractions included fun dog shows, have a go agility, falconry display, stalls, bouncy castles and viewings of all the animals in Greenacres care.

The rain was a big concern to the organisers, but the people of Pembrokeshire braved the weather and supported the centre.

A total of £8,906 was raised which was topped up to £9,000 by a very kind donation from Stu Phillips, of BWY Canine.

There were also had 26 applications to adopt animals so hopefully many will soon have loving new families.
