Last week members of the Chamber of Trade in Pembroke were pleased to welcome five of the Great British High Street Awards judges to the town, after it has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Rising Star category.
After visiting Pembroke Main Street in the morning, Claire Short and Jonathan Grimes, members of the Chamber of Trade, welcomed the judges at Pembroke Castle, gave them a brief tour of the castle, Henry VII statue and several businesses in the town.
This was followed by several presentations in the town hall which included the Visit Pembroke and Shop Pembroke Reward Card initiatives by Jonathan Grimes, The Tanyard Youth project by Sue Lines, Pembroke Town Walls Trust by Howard Rudge and Pembroke and Monkton Historical Society by Linda Asman.
The judges thanked everyone involved for providing them with an interesting and informative day. They are seen above at Pembroke Castle with representatives of the Chamber of Trade.
