A local lady is celebrating her tenth anniversary of life on the sea after leaving Manorbier for destinations such as Miami.

Jennifer Davies is celebrating a decade of working for Carnival Cruises, during which time she has sailed around the Caribbean, and taken in other destinations such as Nassau, Key West, Mexico, Cuba, Puerto Rico, New Orleans, Havana, and Sydney, on cruise ships such as - Magic, Spirit, Paradise, Glory, Victory, Fantasy, and Legend.

The daughter of Mrs. Heidi John and stepdaughter of Mr. Robert John, Jennifer attended St. Florence Primary school and Greenhill School in Tenby, during which time she was always adventurous, and joined the Army Cadets and achieved her Gold medal in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.

She then progressed to Haverfordwest College where she studied Hotel Hospitality at all levels, before eventually applying to Carnival Cruises for employment, being accepted as a Junior in the Guest Services Office.

Jennifer found she loved life onboard the ship, and in the 10 years she has been with Carnival, Jennifer worked her way up, culminating in 2017 when she was promoted to guest services manager.
