The Narberth and Whitland special envoy partnership between Santa and Rudolph the Red-nosed reindeer has been in great demand during the past week. Resplendent in his red robes, Santa visited Bloomfield Community Centre to deliver some free Christmas puddings from Rotary to the Community Fridge project and the Foodbank. At the time, the Serendipity choir were entertaining passers-by in the foyer, with Juliet Rossiter from the Whitland Male Voice Choir leading on the electric organ. The Christmas season has truly started.
Santa also popped into the Bloomfield Day Care Centre where he was greeted by one of the supporters of the Living Memory Group (LMG). The gentleman gave Rudolph an encouraging pat to send him on his rounds and on his way out Santa visited the nursery creche before leaving.
Other deliveries were made to Castle Preparatory School just north of Narberth and the pupils there received some free puddings which they are going to serve to local lonely residents on Christmas Day at their school. Also in nearby Whitland, town Mayor Barry Chapman was pleased to receive some puddings for the town’s planned Christmas Day lunch for elderly lonely residents
