Christmas at the Memorial Hall

Christmas lights switch-on and Christmas Market: Friday, December 2, starting at 5 pm. Whitland Memorial Hall is proud to be involved and support the Town Council with the Christmas lights switch-on on the first Friday of December. This year there will be a few extras. Besides an appearance by Father Christmas, there will be a special Christmas Market. As well as being able to do some late shopping (most shops will stay open until later), there will be 20 or so market stalls in St. John Street for you to browse and get loads of gifts, all made by local crafts people. And the Whitland Male Voice Choir will make an appearance and invite you to join them in some carol singing around the Christmas tree.

Taf QT Club Christmas Bingo: Saturday, December 3, 7 for 7.30 pm. A fundraising event for the Taf QT Club. With excellent prizes and a Christmas raffle.

St. Mary’s Church Whist Drive: Wednesday, December 7, 7.30 pm. Advance notice that this annual event will be at the Whitland Memorial Hall on the first Wednesday of December. Christmas raffle tickets will be available from St. Mary’s Church members.

Poultry Christmas Bingo: Tuesday, December 13, 8 pm. A fundraising event for the Whitland Memorial Hall. Win a chicken or a turkey at the bingo, plus a chance to try your luck at winning a Christmas hamper or a raffle prize. A bingo well worth attending…eyes down at 8 pm.

Whitland Produce Market and Gifts and Crafts Fayre: Second Saturday of every month (9.30 am - 12.30 pm). The Christmas Market will be on Saturday, December 10. If the November Market is anything to go by, we’ll have an excellent array of Christmas gifts for you to choose from.
