A Pembrokeshire ecologist aims to form a lichen group to educate and unite nature lovers, artists, and photographers.

Local independent ecologist John Hudson says: “Lichens are important bio indicators that tell us much about the health of the environment in which we live, work and play. We hope to create a place where naturalists, artists, photographers, educators and anyone who is fascinated by these symbiotic life forms can share knowledge and learn from one another.

“Lichenology is a difficult subject to get started in, especially alone. We hope such a group will help open up this fascinating world to more people and raise the profile of lichens and their habitats.

“If there is sufficient interest we can get something going!”
