WICKED for Good, the 2025 American musical fantasy film, will be screened by Films4Tenby at the De Valence Pavilion, Tenby on Thursday, May 28.

Showing at a new, experimental, time of 6pm, the film is rated PG and is a sequel to Wicked (2024). It’s based on the second act of the musical ‘Wicked’ by Stephen Schwartz and Winnie Holzman (who co-wrote the film alongside Dana Fox. The story’s origins can be traced back to L Frank Baum’s novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Directed by Jon M Chu, the film was a box office success, making $69.1 million on its opening day. Noting the film’s darker tone and unhurried pace, critics were divided, but Ariana Grande (as the charismatic Glinda the Good) and Cynthia Erivo (as misunderstood ‘Wicked Witch of the West’ Elphaba Thropp) received praise for their roles.

Admission is £5 on the evening, £4 for members, or £10 for a family of four. Pre-screening meals can be booked at the Fuchsia Caffe by calling 01834 219224.
