Among the voices who came together at the Follies Theatre at Folly Farm for the finale of Saturday’s ‘Night of 100 Voices’ were five Pembroke and District Male Voice choristers staging for the first time.

Father and son Terry and David Coombes were joined by Steve Davies, Chris Johns and Malcolm Rees.

David, Steve and Chris are baritones while Terry is in the bass section and Malcolm a second tenor.

They were welcomed on stage by choir MC Matthew John who introduced the six choir items, just part of a memorable musical extravaganza which marked three anniversaries – the 40th of the Paul Sartori Hospice at Home, the 70th of Pembroke and District Male Voice and the first of Vision Arts.

In the past year the Pembroke choir’s numbers have been bolstered by several new recruits with others due to stage for the first time soon.

The choir next stages at Monkton Priory, Pembroke, on Friday, March 3 supporting the Mayor of Pembroke’s charities.

Choir practice is each Tuesday evening at St Teilo’s Church Hall, Pembroke Dock, from 7pm and men of all ages are most welcome to try out choral singing. Further information from Choir Secretary Dean Maiden on 07779 905995.
