Enhancement work at Narberth's Church Street and Picton Place appears to be 'nonsense', according to a former Mayor of the town.

Speaking at a meeting of the council on Tuesday night, the clerk, Mrs. Caroline Coaker, said she had checked with Pembrokeshire County Council and there was 'no scheduled work planned for the area', despite Clr. Wynne Evans stating in the local press an enhancement scheme was in the pipeline.

"There is no substinance to his statement," said Clr. Langen. "It is nonsense and a figment of his imagination."
