Sir,
I must agree with the letter from Mrs. Nelson regarding the impending demolition of the former Tenby Infants School. The efforts by local councillors Mike Williams and Jon Preston should be applauded. They have listened to the voices of local people and have taken the issue to the very top. They have challenged the chief executive at Pembrokeshire County Council to seek an alternative outcome that would save the building, provide green space and accommodate road improvements on Heywood Lane. The real question must where are the other councillors? It is very easy to sit back, do nothing and abuse the very people who are prepared to support the will of the local community. It is a different thing to make a real effort to save a valuable asset despite some shrugging it off as a lost cause.
M. Nicholas,
Tenby.
