Marilla Evans from Golden Grove School in Pembroke has been celebrating successes in what has been and exceptional year for her. This year, Marilla, who plays trumpet, first tasted success when she was crowned the overall winner at the Primary Schools’ Valero Music Festival at Sir Thomas Picton School. Following this, she competed at a local eisteddfod and gained a place at Urdd National Eisteddfod in Builth Wells. There was a high standard of competion, with Marilla winning the open trumpet competition. The whole school at Golden Grove School-Ysgol Gelli Aur congratulate Marilla and wish her all the very best for the future.
