Saundersfoot school credits sponsors for sporting success

SAUNDERSFOOT CP School has said “Diolch yn fawr iawn” to all its sponsors for helping the pupils look and feel like champions.

The school extends its sincere thanks to local business Caldey Construction and New Hedges Saundersfoot Football Club for their generous sponsorship of new sporting T-shirts for pupils.

The school reports that support from these valued community partners has had an immediate impact, giving pupils a real sense of pride and identity when representing the school at sporting events recently.

The new kit has certainly proved a lucky one. The girls' cricket team enjoyed a fantastic season, reaching the Pembrokeshire South Final, while the boys’ cricket team achieved outstanding success by winning their area final and going on to become Pembrokeshire Champions.

These achievements reflect the hard work, commitment and determination shown by all of the pupils involved, and it was wonderful to see them competing in their new school colours with such confidence and enthusiasm.

Headteacher Nick Allen said:

"We are incredibly grateful to Caldey Construction, New Hedges Saundersfoot Football Club for their generous support. Community partnerships such as these make a huge difference to our pupils and provide opportunities that help create lasting memories. The children have loved wearing the new shirts and they have proudly represented the school throughout a highly successful cricket season.”
