Staff at Tenby’s Greenhill School who have been busy teaching students remotely over the internet since facilities were closed last month added a fancy twist to their home briefings last week!
The practice has been incredibly successful, with students and parents actively engaging with the work being set, and in order to keep in touch, staff and teachers have been conducting daily video briefings online, however on Friday the meeting had a somewhat different twist, with all staff asked to attend wearing fancy dress!
The briefing which featured a wealth of colourful characters and familiar faces, with everyone from Super Mario to Sloth from The Goonies popping (as well as an early appearance from Santa himself) was a huge success with morale being lifted for all who attended
Greenhill’s digital lead, Mr. Jonathan Evans - who has has also been running ‘geek meet’ sessions to introduce staff to the latest technology, recorded the session and posted it online for others to enjoy.
“In this difficult period for everyone, it’s nice to try and do things that raise a smile!” he said.
“The video seems to have done just that receiving thousands of views online since it was uploaded. Ysgol Greenhill would like to wish everyone well over the Easter period and thank the parents and students once more for all of their recent hard work in making the home learning process so successful.
“It’s been a challenging few weeks for everyone in our community. The attitude and commitment of students and staff has been amazing and it shows how amazing our community is! Happy Easter to everyone and give yourselves a big clap!” added Mr. Evans.
