The first Children’s Laureate Wales, Eloise Williams, recently visited Greenhill Library to undertake a writing workshop with pupils at the Tenby school.

Eloise is a local children’s author who has had a number of books published including the award winning ‘Gaslight’.

Students were encouraged to explore some of the techniques used by Eloise to plan their own stories.

There was also an opportunity for pupils to ask questions and listen to an extract from ‘Seaglass’. A huge thank you to Eloise for a truly inspiring morning!

March 5 was World Book Day - the single largest international celebration of authors, books, illustrators and – of course – reading!

For World Book Day, Greenhill students ‘taste-tested’ some of the new books in the ‘Book Café’.

“We had a great response from pupils, and the World Book Day quiz was a tremendous success!” said a spokesperson for the school.

“We would like to extend a big thank you to the pupils and staff who took part in the event, making it the memorable occasion it was.”
