Pupils from Dyffryn Taf were invited to attend a Go Global Conference at Bradley Stoke Community School in Bristol.

The four pupils were Sam Bartlett, Georgia Roderick, Gabby Ridge and Jacob Layfield, who were chosen as a reward for their achievements in the course of this academic year.

The course was facilitated by businesswoman Claire Young, finalist of BBC1's hit show The Apprentice and Jill Carlson from Room to Read, whose highly motivating workshops inspired students to begin the journey to become creative, innovative global entrepreneurs, able to think big and action their own ideas on how to make a difference to the lives of others in communities around the world.

These workshops allowed pupils to explore how entrepreneurship applies to them, helped them gain important life skills and support any career pathway in an international context. The course explored their potential as innovators, leaders and global entrepreneurs. It allowed them to discover skills and mindsets which built resilience and the ability to thrive on challenge.

They will now lead the school in a fundraising challenge to raise money to support developing countries to combat illiteracy.
