Narberth Town Council have released details of their own Queen's diamond jubilee celebrations.

In order to commemorate the occasion, the council will be presenting medals to all children attending Narberth CP School.

Any other child living in Narberth who qualifies can, through their parents, apply to the clerk for a medal.

In addition, the town council will light a beacon on the lower end of the Town Moor car park on the evening of Monday, June 4, between 10 and 10.30 pm.

And on Tuesday, June 5, the town council are to hold a tea party on the Town Moor to which 60 of the most senior citizens of Narberth will be invited.

Anyone who feels that they fit this criteria, please let the clerk know giving her your name, address and date of birth.

Various entertainment will be ongoing during the afternoon and everyone is welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy on the Moor.
