A well-known couple from Llanion in Pembroke Dock, Graham and Dot Roberts, have been celebrating their diamond wedding anniversary.
Their 60th anniversary was yesterday (Thursday), but they held a celebratory party last week as it was the only time when everyone could attend.
All their family from Telford and other parts of the country came down to join in with the celebrations, and that they sure did!
The lovely couple were treated to a flight around Pembrokeshire with the brilliant Fly Wales Team at Haverfordwest Airport. This took place on Sunday, July 30.
On Friday, August 4, they had a fantastic party which was all arranged by the fantastic staff at St. John’s Community Hall. In order to make it a day to remember, they were picked up from their home by Spike in his magnificent 1910 Talbot Convertible and what a trip that was! They were taken all round Pembroke and Pembroke Dock and finally disembarked at 4 pm to the greeting of all the guests who were waiting to see the happy couple.
The couple were also very fortunate to have had a beautiful anniversary two-tier cake made by the talented Geraldine Butland.
During the evening they were yet to have more surprises when the DJ Himself (Lionel Nutting) turned up to give lovely background music. Then came the climax when the one and only Elvis (Ed Owen) appeared and he sure brought the hall to life big time and everybody had a fabulous time.
Lots of lovely presents, including Bill and Ben the flower pot men was just one of many.
All in all what a fantastic time. Happy diamond anniversary to you both.
