A Tenby man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with offences including attempted arson, intentional strangulation, and three assaults.
Adam Snooks, of Cresswell House, Cresswell Street, appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on May 13.
The 42-year-old is charged with three separate counts of assaulting a woman at an address in Cresswell Street. The assaults are alleged to have taken place once between April 18 and May 6 this year, once on May 6, and again on May 10.
Snooks is also charged with intentionally strangling the woman on May 10.
He also faces a charge of attempted arson with intent to endanger life, standing accused of attempting to set fire to a carpet and rug belonging to the woman, also on May 10.
Snooks is also accused of damaging an iPad and iPhone worth £450 belonging to the woman on the same day.
No pleas were entered at the hearing.
Snooks is next due to appear at Swansea Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on June 10.
He was remanded in custody by magistrates due to the “nature and seriousness” of the alleged offences until that hearing date.
