CELEBRATING 50 years of fundraising in the county, Pembrokeshire Fundraising Group of Guide Dogs Cymru held a successful coffee morning at the Harbwr Bar, Saundersfoot.

Despite the dreadful weather and flooding the previous day, the event on Wednesday, November 9 was very well attended, raising almost £900, with donations still being received.

Attending the special coffee morning was Natalie De Maid, Regional Community Fundraising Manager-Central Region, and Ruth Evans, Community Fundraising Manager for Wales, together with guide dog Mobility Specialist Hari Hartnell and trainee guide dog Yale; Adge with guide dog Skip; John and guide dog Eddie, and Maureen and Martin with withdrawn guide dog Toffee and retired guide dog Merry.

Natalie congratulated the Group on 50 years of fundraising and promoting guide dogs in Pembrokeshire, thanking everyone for all their hard work and commitment.

Group Organiser, Eva rich, thanked everyone for supporting the coffee morning despite the rather inclement weather; she also thanked Andy and the Harbwr Bar for hosting the event and donating the coffee.

Special thanks go to Helen Hedley for organising a magnificent raffle, with thanks also owed to all the businesses in the village who so kindly donated prizes many people going home with some wonderful vouchers.

Finally, the Group thanks everyone for their continued support throughout the year, taking care of collection boxes and the volunteers who help with fundraising events, appreciating how much Skip and Eddie mean to Adge and John; also Sue and Henry in Tenby.
