At a Coffee Morning and Talk in Pembroke Town Hall on Saturday, October 4, popular local historian Gareth Mills will talk on the History of Orielton and the Owen family - from the Norman period right through to the present day.
The Owen family were major landowners, industrialists and political influencers throughout the 18th and 19th Centuries in south west Wales. Gareth will tell a story of political intrigue, which gives an incredible insight into how powerful wealthy landowners were so influential in everything that happened at that time.
Doors open at 10am for coffee, followed by the talk at 11am. Open also for the event will be Pembroke Museum and Council Chamber, which are situated on the first floor of the Town Hall. A lift is available for disabled access.
All are welcome to attend and entry is free, as proceeds from the Coffee Morning and raffle will cover any overheads.
