KIND-hearted Tesco shoppers across West Wales have been thanked for donating 1,476 toys during the retailer’s Toy Donation campaign in the run-up to Christmas.

Store manager of the Milford Haven Superstore, Debbie Ann-Mills said “We are delighted to support the PATCH Toy Appeal again, bringing some happiness to families in Pembrokeshire who may be struggling this Christmas is so important. We take pride in supporting our local community during the year through Tesco Stronger Starts and our Community Food Connection programme and this year’s toy donation campaign is a fantastic way for customers to help local families in need”.

Before the festive celebrations, Tesco stores across West Wales called on customers to support the retailer’s 2025 Christmas Toy Donation campaign so that local children who might otherwise not receive a gift on the big day wouldn’t miss out on some festive magic.

Customers responded enthusiastically, with 1,476 brand-new toys donated to in-store donation points across the county. The gifts were then given to local organisations including HomeStart in Cardigan and Llanelli, the Carmarthenshire County Council Charity Toy Box Appeal, motorcycle charity group, 3 Amigos and PATCH (Pembrokeshire Action to Combat Hardship), which Tesco store colleagues chose to partner with for the campaign. The gifts were then distributed to local children to open on Christmas Day.

Claire De Silva, Head of Communities at Tesco, said: “We really can’t thank our customers enough for their kind contributions to our Toy Donation campaign… They have made a lot of children very happy at a time of year that can be difficult for some families, so thank you so much again for your support.”

Tesco’s Toy Donation campaign ran in stores across the UK in November and December, with almost 75,000 gifts donated by generous shoppers.
