Five brave fundraisers who took to the skies in support of Paul Sartori Hospice at Home, completing a 15,000ft tandem skydive at Go Skydive Swansea have raised over £7,000 for the Pembrokeshire-based charity.

The group, who completed the highest tandem jump in the UK, were Jude Williams, Amanda Elmes, Elvire Beijdorff, Chloe Phillips and Cath Morgan. They took the 15,000ft tandem skydive at Go Skydive Swansea on Sunday 24th August 2025.

All five of the brave skydivers share a close connection with the charity. Three of the team are employees of Paul Sartori, working across fundraising (Jude), the Equipment Loan Service (Amanda), and the Bereavement Counselling Service (Elvire). The other two (Chloe and Cath) have personally experienced the support of Paul Sartori’s services.

The skydive, which had been in planning for a year, was an opportunity for the friends to take on a once-in-a-lifetime ‘bucket list’ challenge. Between them, four sing in the Paul Sartori Community Choir, and three celebrated milestone birthdays this year – making the event even more memorable. Importantly, each of them covered the cost of the skydive themselves, meaning that every pound raised went directly towards supporting end of life patients and families living in Pembrokeshire.

Reflecting on the experience, Jude said: “It was absolutely incredible – we were all nervous, but once we jumped, the adrenaline and the views were just amazing. Doing it together made it so special. We supported each other every step of the way, from the training right through to the landing, and the camaraderie between us gave us the courage to go through with it. Knowing that we were raising money for a cause so close to our hearts made it even more worthwhile.”

Cath said: “What a team! The most exhilarating experience undertaken with such great support; another one off the ‘bucket list’ raising money for such a wonderful cause.”

Chloe also added: “We want to extend our sincere thanks to St Brides Bay Clothing of Milford Haven for their generosity in providing us with the team T-shirts. Not only did their kindness ensure we looked the part on the day, but the T-shirts also gave us a real sense of team spirit and visibility throughout the event.

The whole team is delighted with the overall funds raised, which will contribute to Paul Sartori Hospice at Home’s vital services.
