On Sunday, Bethel and Tabernacle Congregational Chapels held a joint service to pay tribute to Rev. Jill-Hailey Harries, who had been minister for over nine years and was leaving to take up the pastorate of Bethel and Trinity Chapels in Sketty.

A large congregation attended the service and were entertained by the Tabernacle Sunday School under the direction of Miss Meryl James.

This was followed by tributes from Mr. Cyril Evans on behalf of Tabernacle and Sir Eric Howells on behalf of Bethel, to which the minister responded.

The service was conducted by Mr. Tudor Eynon and the organist was Mrs. Sheila Bancroft. Afterwards, the members present were entertained to a superb tea provided by the ladies of Tabernacle and Bethel.
