After his wife, Ann's recent diagnosis and treatment for cancer at Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest, the well-known Narberth resident, Peter Howitt, decided to hold a fund-raising evening at the town's RAOB Club.
The evening was a great success and a total of £537.30 was raised.
It was Ann Howitt's wish that the money be donated to the Paul Sartori Foundation, to help with the invaluable work they do throughout Pembrokeshire, providing treatment 'at home' for cancer sufferers.
The cheque was handed over to local Paul Sartori volunteers at the RAOB Club last Saturday by Peter Howitt and Anthony Palmer, who had helped organise the fund-raiser.
The Howitts would like to warmly thank all the local businesses who donated raffle prizes, as well as those people who came along and supported the evening in support of this worthy cause.
