Narberth Museum has just experienced its busiest January since it re-opened in the Bonded Stores and the trend looks set to continue through February.
Tomorrow (Saturday, February 13), a workshop, Collage your Community, with acclaimed artist Maya Mitten will make use of contemporary and archive images from the museum’s collection to create a collage landscape of Narberth. This is part of the Span Arts Cheerful Project and runs from 10 am - 12 noon.
Then, on February 16, the Friends of Narberth Museum are holding a pancake race with fun for all ages starting at 10 am. Pancakes and other refreshments will be available.
For those who have always wanted to find out more about their family history, but didn’t really know where to start, volunteer Jackie Thompson will host a taster session on February 25 from 10.30 am - 12.30 pm.
Later that day, at 7.30 pm, local historian and author Terry John will look at the life of Thomas Evans, a Welsh Missionary in India, whose hair-raising adventures bear comparison with any fictional hero.
Finally, on 26th, the first Pecha Kucha of the year will bring together several local artists who will give short presentations about their work, followed by a pot-luck supper. Please bring a plate of something to share. This event, instigated by Linda Norris, will start at 7 pm until 9 (ish).
Britain from Above: Wales, an exhibition of unique aerial photography on loan from the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales, continues through February.
All the events will take place at Narberth Museum in the Bonded Stores in Church Street, Narberth.
