Parents and staff belonging to a popular nursery near Narberth, are on the look-out for new premises for the playgroup, following a recent announcement that the facility is set to close.

With the news that Busy Bees Nursery in Cold Blow is due to close, many local parents, now faced with displaced children in this rural area, are hoping that a suitable relocation site can be found for the nursery which has been in operation for almost 10 years.

During its time, Busy Bees has seen countless children of pre-school age enjoy the fantastic location and facilities offered by John and Julie Mathias, of Cold Blow.

The nursery boasts a team of reputable and qualified staff and management, including a full-time cook who prepares hot, home cooked meals daily for the children, often utilising the home-grown fruit and vegetables.

There are currently more than 20 children enrolled at the facility and, although their parents were notified in writing at the contractually agreed time period of one month, they say the news has nonetheless come as a shock to them.

The nursery staff have committed to continuing the facility in the same vein, should they manage to find a suitable relocation site in time for the end of the notice period of October 25, but so far, Gemma Morgan (nursery manager) and her staff have failed to do so.

Parents have pledged allegiance to the staff if they can manage to find an alternative location.

The business would undoubtedly prove a solid investment for anyone looking to rent out a property to the team - as the Busy Bees model has enjoyed many years of full capacity supported by local parents in the area.

Parents and staff are hoping that Busy Bees might be saved - if even by a short-term solution until they can locate a potential site somewhere in Narberth.

Anyone who might be able to offer assistance in finding a new home for Busy Bees is asked to contact manager Gemma on 07975 535983.
